Codetown ::: a software developer's community
I had the pleasure of attending Enterprise Connect '17. #EC17 is a conference about communication: telephony, video, chat, and all forms of conferencing. It's been around many years. The expo hall had big familiar players like Microsoft, Oracle, and Cisco. There were also big players you'd know if you're in the communications market like 8 by 8.

Here are some of the topics:
The sense you'll get at EC is that unified communications in the cloud is the way to go. Most vendors have versatile API's that make it easy to wire them all together.
Stay tuned - more to come!

By Claudio MasoloMore projects from the CNCF incubated level are preparing to graduate for an ever-widening cloud native ecosystem. The Backstage community has worked on a more robust architecture, and Crossplane aimed to improve its developer DX.
