Event Description

Join us this month for a special presentation you're sure to enjoy!

Tony McClay, Enterprise Architect from Nielsen (the TV Survey people) providing solutions for Global Projects, Convergence, and governance. SOA Enterprise Architect specifying and building solutions using SOA techniques, which include Event Based Architectures and Space Based Architectures. Tibco Active Matrix Administrator, Tibco Silver Administrator will give a presentation, topic below. He originally started with Nielsen in 1997

Tony sent a Powerpoint presentation that I believe he is going to use as a road map but he is going to try to focus more on the technical side rather than a general presentation about what Nielsen does.

TITLE - Accelerating Innovation at Nielsen

Topic - We are the world’s leading provider of global marketing information, consumer insights, business media products, and services. Nielsen provides its clients with the most complete understanding of consumers and markets worldwide. And, we use Java and Open Source to do it!

Greg Groves, Codetown member and accomplished software developer, and longtime OrlandoJUG member, will lead this fun gathering - an opportunity to look under the covers and see how the most famous (and, as you'll see, tech savvy) TV survey company in the world uses information technology to sift through reams of data.

Please RSVP so we'll know how much food to order.
