Event Description

This month, we welcome Ken Krueger for a talk on Spring Boot.

Ken was here last year and that's the picture of our group that night.

Meeting Overview:

This session will introduce Spring Boot, discuss how it simplifies dependency management, demonstrate how to create web and REST style applications, show how easy it is to incorporate Spring Data's automatic repository implementations, and show how Spring Data REST makes JPA-backed REST applications a snap.
Speaker Bio:
Ken has been in IT for 25 years, spanning the mainframe, client server, web, and cloud eras.  Ken has spent much of the last few years training organizations on the use of Spring.

Looks like we are going to have our meeting at Canvs! I did a walk through and took some photos. I wrote it up here: http://www.codetown.us/group/orlandojug/forum/topics/canvs-in-our-future

Please tell your friends and colleagues so we have a good turnout. And, please update your Codetown profiles! Photos, bio info, location is nice to know and don't forget about your blog. And, be sure to actually join the OJUG Town group here on Codetown so you'll be easy to spot and reach. You can use the invite feature, too!

As always, I hope to see you there and I hope to see many new faces.

All the best,

Michael Levin
